An inspiring career book #GIRLBOSS

#GIRLBOSS the book - by Sophia Amoruso

We have all heard about those incredible and empowering stories about women who pursued their passions and turned them into successful, flourishing careers, right? Well here is one of them – a new book that I’ve just read.

If you are a little sceptical about reading ‘self-help’ books about making it, but you do want a motivational and funny read then #GIRLBOSS is a must.

In this ultra-inspiring read, NastyGal’s founder, CEO, and creative director Sophia Amoruso, shares the vital lessons and advice she learned along her journey to becoming an impressively successful businesswoman. From starting out online (eBay) to now running a $100 million dollar company. How she handled significant business growth, people and the world of social media.

Honest, funny and VERY inspiring.

I read the whole copy of my book (a New York Times bestseller) on the train into London a few weeks back and I must say that it made me want to aim higher and I felt incredibly empowered afterwards.

Sophia came from nothing and built herself a hugely successful business. It really is a great rags to riches story and she’s very likeable.

“So you want to be a #GIRLBOSS? Life is too short. Don’t be lazy”. – Sophia Amoruso

Sure, reading informational books on how to make money, turn a hobby into a job, and “live in the now” sound great, but reading actual stories by real, noteworthy entrepreneurs who started out just like one of us can be the inspiring push you need to kick your bottom into gear.

#GIRLBOSS has definitely made me want to get on the road to success!

I’ll have to try and read this, I love reading inspiring books. You are right, hearing from a real person rather than a how-to makes you want to get up and go! x
