In the one year that I have been blogging I haven’t struggled once to write a post. Some posts have been very long, some short-and-sweet. But all the time they have been there…bursting to be written.

So yesterday was my first visit to BlogCamp. Run by Sally Whittle and the TOTS 100 team. BlogCamp is designed to be a local, informal conference for bloggers of all kinds. And it was just that. With only a few hundred bloggers at the event it was laid back, informal and really social. And FREE! Yipppppeeeeee!

I’ve been blogging now for a whole year! WOW! How did that happen? I am a) amazed that I still love it so much, b) that I have not given up!, and c) surprised at how much opportunity it has brought me. It’s been a whirlwind, to be honest, and one that I’ve throughly enjoyed.

Naively, when I started blogging I thought it was just a case of sitting down at the laptop, writing some text, and then adding any image to hand. However there is FAR MORE to it than that. One aspect that I completely overlooked when embarking upon blogging, was that of photography. And just how important good photographs are, in a blog post. It sounds really obvious when you…
