We lived in Chester. I have worked in Chester. Hubby currently works in Chester. So it’s fair to say that we know Chester quite well. It’s steeped in history (it was a Roman Fortress 2,000 years ago) and yet also has a nice mix of thoroughly modern buildings and facilities. What’s not to like about Chester?!

Next month sees the celebration of our 7 year wedding anniversary. Hubby and I got married in a country house hotel on a cold, crisp February day – with frost on the ground but the sun shining. It was lovely. This photograph makes me smile every time I see it. It shows just how happy I am on the day. And…

I am excited to be linking up (for the first time!) with the fabulous ladies Aby and Em that blog over at You Baby Me Mummy and Snowing Indoors, for this photography linky – Point + Shoot. I wanted to share something different on this post, rather than a usual picture of my family or me (for a change!). Hubby took…

Let’s face it, December is brilliant, exciting and full of fun…and January is the polar opposite. Some of my lovely blogging friends decided to get together to do a ‘not-so-secret’ Santa, this Christmas. I absolutely wanted to join in too! Not working in an office anymore means I don’t get to do fun things like this, and so I was more than delighted to take part. I was paired with the lovely and very funny Katie,…

Where we live, it has snowed quite a lot during the winter. We’re in a rural (ish) spot in North Wales, and we have had some fantastic snow over the last 4 years that we have lived here. In particular, late 2012/early 2013, when it was so deep and all the power went off for days and we had to…

I don’t know about you, but all this talk from folk of having their presents wrapped, and having ‘finished’ their Christmas shopping is making me rather anxious. My heart has started racing faster recently. I’m twitchy. I am making copious lists. Must do this, must do that…. Yet it’s only the 9th of December. It’s still quite early….isn’t it? OK…
