Hi everyone, how’s your half-term going? Good I hope. Ours has actually been really lovely (I know, I sound really surprised!). So far we’ve had a few friends over for play-dates, the twins have been to a sports holiday club, we’ve picked our pumpkins and we have been swimming. As well as a long walk trying to dodge the rain and lots of playing at…

After I had my boy & girl twins (back in 2012) I was somewhat prepared for some challenging things that were going to happen to me. These included my body taking a long time to recover after a twin pregnancy & major operation (c-section), as well as knowing that I’d probably feel incredibly tired and busy all the time.

And just like that…September the 5th 2017 arrived and the twins started their first day of primary school, together. Day one drop-off has been completed and we’re into the first term of reception class already. Phew.

Soon after we were married – and trying for a baby – I wasn’t quite sure at that point how Dave would take to Fatherhood. I wasn’t sure if he’d be OK with giving up our late-night partying, luxurious relaxing holidays and our lazy weekend mornings. When we found out at our 7-week scan that we were indeed having twins (after our 3rd round of IVF) his face…

Mother’s Day can be such a lovely day, whereby amazing Mums across the world get treats such as a cup of tea in bed, personalised card and a bunch of flowers too. I love to be spoilt by my twins (and Hubby) for the day; he normally does all the cooking, childcare, tidying up and washing up that day!

Dave and I have been so caught up in our busy and hectic day-to-day lives lately that we had forgotten to think about the future and (more importantly) prepare for it. The money we earn from both of our jobs coming in literally goes straight out again – required for mortgage, food, petrol, pre-school fees, clothes, holidays etc.. Embarrassingly we’ve actually NEVER saved since we have…

Oh my. I think I blinked, Christmas was over and the new year arrived! Wow..the last few months of 2016 whizzed by and I cannot believe that we are now all back at work, talking goals & diets and into a brand new year once more. Without sounding too cliche our Christmas really was absolutely amazing and the twins (at four years old) thought the whole…

It’s not an exaggeration to say that our 4-year-old twins are incredibly excited about Christmas this year. Each morning they literally run into our bedroom asking to open their advent calendars and begin counting down the days until Santa visits our home. I didn’t think that they could sustain this level of euphoria for the whole of December…but it has proven to be so!

When I was pregnant with my (rather large) twin, baby-bump I obviously dreamed of the kind of Mum that I’d like to be. I hoped that I would be heaps of fun, caring and kind. Radiate love. Our babies had taken quite a few years (and tears) to conceive and so I definitely knew that they were going to be the centre of my whole world. I…
