An Easter egg hunt

Easter egg hunt

One of the best aspects of having children is the fun and joy it brings you every day as a grown-up. It brings me such pleasure to see how much enjoyment they get out of anything I do with them.

I know lots of people find the holidays too commercialised, but to be honest I love getting involved in anything seasonal with the children for it gives me great ideas, inspiration or themes for games and activities.

Easter is a great example of this and is a lovely time of year to get involved in simple crafts, playing games or getting out into the garden together for an egg hunt.

I don’t spend a complete fortune to enjoy this time of year. I certainly won’t be buying Harry & Lottie lots and lots of large chocolate eggs and so that is why an Easter egg hunt around the home or garden is ideal for kids to have fun and perhaps pick up a few mini eggs treats or little prizes (you can tailor it to your own tastes).

We had one yesterday – the sun was shining and the lovely people at Fabulous Partyware sent us some Easter themed goodies!

The egg hunt kit priced £7.95 pack contained: 5 solid card pointers with cord to hang 4 masks with elastic (Bunny, sheep, cow and chick) 6 Easter themed stickers 4 Easter pictures to colour Pack of 4 crayons (green, yellow, red and blue).

I made them close their eyes whilst I hid mini eggs around the garden – they had to try and find them! We had SO much fun!

Love these masks Jess and also the little honeycomb sheep/bunny- my two would adore them! I remember one year F and S got (kindly) bought several big easter eggs and it was too much for them, so now we just do an Easter eggs hunt with smaller ones in the garden and they love it, so much fun! I really feel like a proper ‘mum’ (if that makes sense?!) doing things like this with them, really makes me smile x

Awwww, the kids are super cute! The last 2 years we’ve forgotten to put the eggs out and one of us casually ‘chucks one in a bush when Munch isn’t looking…not quite the same! This year I need to get ahead! x
