Sticking, with washi tape

IMG_4050

Oh Pinterest. You seem to have this knack of drawing me in, getting me addicted, making me fall in love with your beautiful photographs, and then influencing me to purchase. (Not that it is too hard to convince me to spend money).

I have done it again. I have spent far too long on Pinterest, and therefore been brain washed into absolutely, totally needing washi tape in my life.

BUT IT IS SO PRETTY! And girls need pretty things.

Washi tape, is a decorative Japanese tape, that modern crafters are OBSESSED with. The new craze for this stuff has recently boomed; and washi tape can be found sticking almost anything to almost anything else.

I got mine from Not on the High Street, and it cost just £2.95. Amazing! I decided to go for polka dot yellow. However since ordering I now want pink, and stripes, and chevrons – in many other colours!

So far I have used it to hang up photographs in the kitchen, and some bunting in Lottie’s room.

Getting married? How fab is this roll of tape (below)?! Gorgeous or what?! Ideal for invitations or favours.

This is a great example (below) of creating photograph frames for a wall. What a simple but effective idea, and easy way to jazz up a boring space! I love this.

I also really love these metallic ones (below) for my study. They would look great for creating folders, accessorising paper and sticking precious photographs and postcards to the wall.

The tape is also perfect for gift wrapping presents and creating beautiful cards too. It really has no limits! Can you tell I am converted?

So I’m ‘sticking happy’ at the moment! Are you?

I am a recent convert too – love the stuff! I use it on painted wall and doors which no problems. I haven’t risked it on wallpaper though as I’m guessing that’s the one thing it might damage?

I love washi tape! I have a small collection although it seems to be growing at the moment – it’s just so useful but also pretty which is a winning combination! It’s especially great as we rent our house and it doesn’t damage the walls! xx
