OK, so summer doesn’t officially start until early June, however the weather over the last few weeks has felt like summer is here already. Hasn’t it been amazing?!
Since we got back from our family holiday to Gran Canaria back in April we have been having so many lovely sunny days here in the UK…and enjoying a lot of good weather. It’s been fab.
As a result I feel as though everyones moods have been better (mine certainly has). It’s also made me want to put away my wooly jumpers and long coats, and replace them with linen dresses and floaty tops.
One colour I am absolutely loving going into early summer ’18 — is light blue. I have never really been a huge fan of blue before (apart from my jeans) but baby-blue striped dresses and pretty blue blouses are everywhere right now. In fact, I walked into H&M on Friday and the main colour that was all over the store, was blue.
Warehouse kindly sent me this gorgeous cotton shirt recently, and I love it. The colour is flattering and the fit is perfect (I went for a size 10). The sleeves give it a really cute detail.
This feels a little French; a look that I love to try to create.
I’m really into over-sized shirts with skinny jeans, or shorts. I feel comfortable in this kind of outfit to do the school run, have meetings or meet friends in town.
Summer is SO much easier when you’re a parent. The last few weekends have been wonderful; full of afternoons in the garden, BBQ’s with friends, as well as park trips and long walks. The twins have had so much fresh air lately as we’ve all been out-and-about and away from screens.
I really hope it continues.
