One of the things you notice, when your children grow out of needing nappies, wipes, a change of clothes, milk, raisins etc is that you suddenly find yourself back and able to carry a medium-sized handbag once more. An item of fashion that can, once again, a) be stylish and b) be something that you only need to put your own personal things into. Like lipstick, a purse, your phone and an umbrella. How weird is that?!
This has recently happened to me. The twins are now 4-years-old and I therefore no longer need to carry a changing bag around the size of a suitcase. I am now back into just packing only my own belongings into a nice handbag and using it for my own personal use.
Radley have very kindly sent me a handbag from their range, the Bayliss Road style in black…and OMG it is gorgeous. I have always been a very big Radley fan anyway and love their handbags so much; they are superb quality and have a luxury look & feel.
I don’t usually go for black. I know it is the most popular colour but I prefer tan or colourful bags – however this one really feels right to go with neutrals that are on trend this season (such as pink & beige). This one can be worn over my shoulder which is perfect for being out and about with the twins, as well as running errands, or I can grab it too. I love being able to have both options.
I have such a weakness for handbags (as well as coats and shoes!) and just love to find a new one that is stylish and yet still practical. I think I am in love.
Are you back using handbags yet? What’s your go-to style?
Love, Jess x
