Block heels & jeans

The tan block heel from Debenhams

When it comes to clothes, one of THE hardest things about being a busy Mum of two is finding outfits that are stylish & flattering but that are also really practical. Because not a lot of looks tick all of these boxes. It’s either comfort and little style – or too much style and feeling OTT!

Until a new 2017 trend hit the streets!

The block-heeled shoe is the ‘new heel’…..thank goodness! Because it’s a) comfortable, b) super easy to walk in and c) stylish too. Yes, yes, yes!

I adore these new tan shoes, £29 from Debenhams which I picked up this week in store. They go perfectly with casual jeans, £25 (also from Debenhams). This look (with a white shirt from H&M) is ideal for smart/casual outfits for days out with the family.

Although I absolutely adore pumps & trainers – and live in them 99% of the time (I now have quite a collection building up!) I am pretty short at 5ft 2in, and so giving myself a little height in my outfit feels nice now and again. However, finding a heel that I can walk in, has always been a tough one. These block heels are therefore IDEAL for giving me a little height.

A slight heel makes an outfit feel a little smarter too for days out with family or for meeting friends for coffee.

They are also great heels with sandals or boots too. I am definitely going to get myself some sandals soon!

You could also accessorise the outfit by adding some jewellery such as these gorgeous women’s bracelets which would perfectly finish off any look!

Perfect footwear for busy Mums that want a little extra style.

You are absolutely right!! I love pumps but having that extra height makes a massive difference. You walk taller but also clothes seems to fit and look so much better. Love this whole outfit, Jess x

I LOVE a block heel! They are so comfortable and I’m rejoicing that they’re in fashion over the slim / stiletto heel. Your outfit is perfect and you’re looking lovely as ever Jess xx

I need block heels in my life, not that I wear heels often but when I do the comfier the better. Love the colour of these ones too. I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and one of my friends had some gorgeous block heeled Mary Janes, she managed to keep them on all night so must have been comfy 😉 xx
