I’ve said in a few previous posts now that I have wanted to expand the range of brands that I shop in. Getting stuck in a ‘brand rut’ is a real thing…especially if the clothes in the stores that you regularly shop in fit you well/are local to you/are in your price range. These things really matter. Non of us like change much and when we are all so busy it’s a bit of a pain having to shop around when you haven’t really got the time.
However. It can be worth it!
After a few recommendations from some of my very good friends I tried a few new brands this week; Mint Velvet & French Connection – which are both located upstairs in House Of Fraser in Worcester. I actually shopped in French Connection quite a bit (pre-twins) and absolutely loved their clothes, but I’ve never bought anything from Mint Velvet before.
I got a few things in the sale but I could have easily got a great deal more from the collections!
Jeans, Mint Velvet £45 (shop similar here)
Pumps, Converse £45
Jeans as above
Boots, Next £45
Jacket, Oasis £55
Of course these shops are more pricey than the likes of Zara, Primark and New Look but there is definitely more of a quality feel about these brands, with a stylish feel too. Plus, in the sale, these items have been such bargain purchases.
Going forward I am all about mixing up my brands and adding more luxury into my wardrobe. I am excited to discover new shops for my practical but stylish Mum wardrobe!
Do you like these brands?
Love, Jess x
