It’s Glastonbury this weekend – which means festival season is now officially here! It also means sitting on the comfort of our sofa, drinking wine, with a curry, and singing along to the amazing tunes. As parents Dave and I don’t get to attend many festivals these days, but the coverage is always amazing on the TV anyway! We get to catch up with all the latest bands and music.
However, we do have some local events lined up this season to go to with the children – our local area of Worcestershire holds plenty of festivals over the summer months that are perfect for families. We can’t wait to take the twins along – they’ll love the atmosphere and have so much fun.
Aside from fun, music, entertainment, food, drink, stalls & rides – festival style is also up there with the rest. Think shorts, dresses, wellies and peasant tops. Also straw bags, face paint and raincoats.
Going to a festival with a coat in the UK is an absolute must! You never know when the heavens will open and catch you off guard.
This lightweight dark green one I am wearing (below) from Berghaus is ideal, as it keeps the rain showers off but isn’t too hot or heavy either. I love the length and the fact that it has a draw-cord to the waist. And a hood!
I love it – it is also perfect for doing the school run and going for walks in the countryside with my gorgeous little family.

So with family festivals in mind, and party-going, here are my favourite picks for festival style from around the high street. Perfect styling whatever festival you’re going to this year!
