Greenery was identified by Pantone as the colour of 2017. They said:
“It is a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate”.
Because Pantone said so, it is therefore incredibly ON TREND in people’s homes right now. Think green walls, palm tree wallpaper, over-sized plants and cacti.
Plants and accessories go nicely in a modern home against white walls, or the greenery trend looks equally as stylish as a bold colour on the walls of a period-style home.
The colour of the year for interiors means that this also spills over into fashion too. The colour green is therefore really making a statement this year.
I have brought it into my own wardrobe by going for a comfortable pair of khaki trousers. I have teamed mine with trainers and a light jumper for a more casual look. Something I would wear on a spring day for the school run or to go out with the children.
