One colour that has kept popping up a lot in my Instagram feed on my favourites over the last few weeks, is mustard. Now before you pull a face at me – and declare it far too hard to wear – there are a few ways to work the colour into your wardrobe.
I do actually really like this colour myself. I don’t normally select (or wear) yellow, and find it really hard to wear, but mustard feels more classy and sophisticated.
I’d still say to keep it really subtle and don’t go too ‘mad’ or OTT with it. Perhaps have mustard within new accessories or in one key piece, such as a top or a jacket. It looks lovely and goes well with blue, black or white.
Plus, it also looks amazing with tanned legs! It’s therefore a perfect colour for beach holidays and summer days out. Even though it feels more of an Autumnal shade, it absolutely works alongside summery textures such as straw, linen and cotton.
My shirt is old (above) from New Look but here are here are some of my favourites from across the high street and my top mustard picks!…
