How to wear trousers as a casual outfit

Trousers as a casual outfit

Oh I love jeans. I live in jeans. Jeans are probably my 99% go-to outfit. I start with the jeans, then work out what I am wearing around that. It’s SO easy…blue, dark blue, light blue, black, skinny, boyfriend, slightly distressed. Jeans are my BFF. Especially the new style ankle grazer, which I feels give me a slightly more stylish feel than the previously hot skinny style.

BUT. Sometimes, just sometimes, I get ever-so-slightly fed up of wearing jeans. And because I work from home most of the week I do find myself always, always wearing them. I have been craving something else in my wardrobe for a change.

Step in the trouser.

With a slightly shorter style for spring/summer and to stay on trend this is all about a slim fit and yet not too skinny. They look amazing for a causal look teamed with loafers, trainers, sandals or boots – with a jumper for the winter and a striped breton or a tee for the summer.

However the BEST bit is that they are incredibly comfortable too. They really, really are.

They’re also versatile; they can be made to look really casual but can also be dressed up too with heels and blouse for business meetings or at night for dinner.

This blue pair I am wearing here are from Primark, and are OK, although these ones are not amazing quality. I am definitely going to get myself a few more pairs as I love them so much, plus they definitely give me more outfit options in my wardrobe.
