Why knitwear makes me so happy

Autumn style - knitwear for Mums on the goOh these dark nights seem to be drawing in. The chillier mornings have started. The rain and the fog. Urgh. However – weather and misery aside for a moment – I have been LOVING digging out my knitwear once more and not having to take too long over what to wear each morning!

Hello jumpers again!

I love, love, love autumn & winter dressing and know so many people feel the same as me about this one. It is way easier than summer fashion…but I think it is also more stylish too. You just can’t go far wrong with a pair of ankle boots, jeans, a sweater and a great coat. Oh my.

Knitwear this season seems to be HUGE. The bigger the better. Think over-sized, colourful, super-thick material and with big sleeves. Like wearing a blanket to go out in! I have been shopping in the last few weeks and you just can’t escape the incredibly big jumpers that are currently hitting the shops.

The range of colours are in abundance too. Baby blue, navy, red, mustard, oh and of course grey (YAY!).

If you’ve been following me on Instagram Stories lately you’ll know that I have bought myself some new knitwear this week (and I’ll share that on here with you ASAP) but I’m also enjoying digging out some pieces that I bought last season too. Like this New Look one below (mustard) that I picked up earlier on in 2017. It goes great with tan accessories and is perfect with my Jamie step hem Topshop jeans (I literally live in these jeans as you can probably see from Instagram!).

So with that in mind here are my favourite *new in* picks of knitwear from around the high street for this autumn/winter season.

I love all of these jumpers and styles and am hoping that they fall into a shopping basket near me soon! Happy autumn!

Love, Jess
