Late summer holiday fashion

Late summer holiday fashion

Hubby said to me last night, “Our holiday is only 2 weeks today” to which I squealed and then panicked! 2 weeks time! I haven’t washed, ironed or packed a thing! I have been SO busy and involved with starting a new contract for a new client (doing their social media management), as well as preparing for when the twins turn 4 next week (yay!). I therefore haven’t been able to think past all that.

We’re off to Kos, Lakitira resort with Mark Warner for a week. Our last holiday to Greece in early June, was so lovely and we are therefore excited to get away once more. This time around however I feel as though I am more savvy to travelling with young twins, and feel as though I know what to expect from our family holiday.

So. In an attempt to get going on packing and deciding what to take I am talking everything fashion for a late summer holiday. Because there are a lot of people who jet off at this time of year when the schools go back and holidays are a little cheaper than in peak season. Plus the weather here in the UK currently is also unpredictable – we’re having hot spells and Autumn hasn’t really arrived yet, has it? So I haven’t given up the dresses or pulled on the ankle boots here just yet.

I wanted some new pieces for my holiday but, at the same time, I didn’t want to spend too much – because when we get home it’s unlikely to be very hot any longer. There also isn’t a lot of summer fashion left in the shops; they’re predominately full of A/W wear now – however there are some items on superb offers.

For example, I have just picked up an amazing bargain in the sales, I got these sandals (below) from New Look for just £8 and I love them! The gold, metallic trend has been so popular this summer and these ones are really pretty. The dress next to it was £24.99 (also New Look, but full price) which will be gorgeous on holiday but I could definitely wear this again when we get home for a night out or dinner with Hubby.

I love the white dress. Finding myself feeling quite jealous of your late getaway, I would kill for some sunshine and a cocktail by the pool right now! Normal life is so dull! Ha! Have a great time xxx

I must admit that I can’t wait – it will be nice to get the last nit of sunshine in before the cold weather hits us! 🙂 xx

Absolutely loving the new look dress, not off on our holidays (with a then 15 month old) until December, but I think I may need to get myself online sharpish and get me that dress 🙂 Hope you a fab time and Greece will still be so lovely at this time of year as often more peaceful now the mad summer rush it over! Enjoy! 🙂 x

I love the print on that dress, great colours. We’re looking to go on holiday next year (our first as a family of 3) but it’s proving very expensive, as I have to go in school holidays. We are currently doing so much work to our house that I do wonder whether we’ll manage to book and afford a holiday, but never say never! I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time! xx
