Summer days with Fashion World | Kids style

These photos should really feature Harry and Lottie, chasing about in the countryside, playing hide & seek together in the fields, which is something we love to do at weekends as a family. However, Lottie is currently coming towards the end of a 6-week rest period after breaking her leg. She’s doing fine — and can’t wait to get her cast off — but is really missing out on these kind of adventures.

Instead, here’s Harry, (right before bedtime), on a very hot summer day here in the UK. He’s having a stroll with me, collecting sticks, as well as defeating the odd nettle on his way too, obvs.

If you got a boy/boys you’ll know that EVERY walk has to involve collecting sticks, as well as bug hunting, plus chatting away about life and asking many questions!

We were very kindly sent some lovely outfits for the twins recently from and here Harry is wearing his. He’s wearing blue Monsoon shorts, white Ralph Lauren trainers and a grey Voi sweater. I love this kind of look on him. Plus everything can be worn with lots of other kinds of outfits too.

Lottie’s outfit is ready (below) for when she’s up and about again, and of course is a pink & white floaty, pretty dress and sparkly shoes! Her dress is by Monsoon and her sandals are girls Birkenstocks.

I actually like dressing the children more than myself these days; I absolutely love kids clothing and finding stylish but practical wear for them. And as their clothing takes a lot of wear and tear (omg, ALL THE washing), good quality clothing is important to us. I also pass on Harry’s clothes onto my nephew and so I do need his clothes to be of a good standard.

So sticks at the ready, Harry is about!

Oh Jess, these photos are stunning. Harry is so cool. And yes, ALL the sticks. We have massive piles next to the front and back doors.

Thanks lovely, he knows he is cool too though – lol 😉 xx

It’s great to have outfit inspo for boys as I find dressing my son really challenging. Girls clothes are so much prettier, however, I’m trying to “style” my 4 year old and steer away from the usual scruffy outfits he likes. Oh, and yes, sticks and bugs are an essential part of our adventures too.

Thanks! Yeah I love dressing my son…he is laid back too so will wear whatever I suggest (unlike his sister! 😉 I put him in a shirt the other day and he looked fab! xx

These are gorgeous outfits Jess. And Freddie is also obsessed with collecting sticks on our countryside walks too. I love the navy shorts, they are so easy to style into a smarter outfit or dress down with a more casual t-shirt. I definitely find dressing boys in nice clothes a bit of a challenge! x

Yes I know what you mean! Boys and nice clothes don’t usually mix 😉 Luckily Harry is fairly laid back and goes with the flow of whatever I pick. He lives in shorts in the summer; I am trying to get him some smarter clothing though as he really suits it. xx

That dress is every little girl’s dream! I bet she can’t wait to wear it. Harry’s outfit is very cool too, as you say, really suits him. I also love kids’ clothing, wish mine were small enough to still wear them – they just steal all of mine now! xx

Gorgeous photos Jess and a gorgeous little boy you have there. Perfect outfit for trendy little boys. I hope Lottie can wear her dress soon, I bet she could style it out even with a cast on x

Poor little Lottie, hope she’s back on her feet (literally) very soon and that she can wear her new dress. Your boy is getting big Jess and this is a very cool outfit. You always take the most beautiful pictures.

It must be so hard for your girl to have to sit out of all the adventures. I’d go insane if it was me. Good quality clothes are so important – the ones I buy my girls have to last through all three of them (though they’ve all got very different styles now they’re older) and then I sell them on afterwards. I love your boy’s shorts – they’re ace.

Ahh what gorgeous outfits. I love LOVE dressing my kids. They get more clothes than anyone I know. I love styling them coordinating if I can which isn’t always easy. These look fab. Sorry to hear little princess has to sit out on the adventures. Love this boy look for B too.
