One of the things I have noticed about ‘the dress’ in shops recently is that there’s a lot of long sleeves about – which appeals to me JUST FINE. I like a long sleeve and find that they really suit me. Plus this is perfect for the transition from winter into spring; aka when it still isn’t warm enough for bare arms!
The LSD (long sleeved dress) – is very hot right now, and it’s exciting because this is the kind of dress that I can work with.
Since having the twins and becoming a Mum I don’t really ‘do’ dresses anymore. The thought (or practicality) of wearing a pair of tights whilst chasing children around all day has put me right off…but actually dresses can be really, really comfy and very easy to wear.
I picked this black & white one up in Warehouse today and I must say that it’s SO gorgeous. It fits well, is floaty but not too thin, it has long sleeves and the pattern is subtle but a little different than a plain, black dress. I’m in love. PLUS…the best bit is that it has pockets! Does it make me old when I whooped in the changing room because it had pockets? Perhaps.
I’ve put mine with black tights and my new tan Dune boots that I got in the sale this week, but am thinking that trainers & loafers (in the warmer weather) would look super too – for a more casual look.
Dress, Warehouse £39
So here’s a lovely way to grab a basic item and create yet another outfit that isn’t jeans! I love this dress and think I’ll pick up a few more soon.
Here’s a few more styles from around the high street if you fancy browsing a few more LSD’s!
Love, Jess x
