The gym this week has been absolutely packed out and far busier than normal, whilst everyone sets themselves new 2017 health & fitness goals. I am absolutely all for a fresh new healthy start as long as the changes are likely to be sustainable. Health and fitness should be something that people integrate into part of their longer-term life otherwise it is so easy to let it slip.
Dave and I joined the gym last year and we do go each week. I tend to hit the gym twice during the week when the twins are at preschool and then again once at the weekend. Dave goes before and after work, plus at the weekend too. I love the feeling & the buzz that working out gives me – but it is about far more than pure weight loss for me – it helps to lift my mood (making me feel positive) plus it has also given me more body confidence since having the twins. I actually miss it when I don’t get to go!
New gym wear is always an exciting purchase plus it makes me want to work out more! I am therefore currently on the look-out for some new gear and love some of the choices from around the high street. Because who doesn’t want to look stylish when they are working up a sweat?!

I absolutely love funky workout wear, it’s so on trend; I like to wear a bright print on my trousers. I also really like colourful trainers too; it’s really important to invest in a good pair for full support. For swimming after my workouts I love this blue swimming costume above from Boden which will also be perfect for taking the twins swimming too.
Every busy girl needs a stylish gym bag too and this Sweaty Betty shown above one is gorgeous – great for popping into my locker whilst I hit the treadmill and rowing machine.
So happy working out guys, and please do let me know what you’re wearing to keep fit this year.
Love, Jess x
