One of our favourite things to do together – the twins and I – is to make home-made smoothies in our kitchen! The kids love them! I try to make one each day, or every other day, for the children…either after their lunch, or with their breakfast.
It is such a great way of getting them interested in and enjoying their fruit and helps towards their 5-a-day portions. Plus they absolutely love helping Mummy in the kitchen too.
It is a great deal cheaper than buying the ready made smoothies plus you get to pick your favourite ingredients (or you can hide any in there that the kids might not usually eat).
These particular ones we make are fabulous for children as they have lots of much-needed milk in too. We add yoghurt into ours but you don’t have to and can instead just use water. The great thing about smoothies is that anything goes really. You just need a blender.
