Get outside summer ready

Getting outside summer ready - home & interiors

Now that the light nights are here I appear to have lost my Husband. To outside. To the lawn, the borders, the veg plot, the flowers. Pottering here and there!

He never used to be ‘that’ into gardening before but nowadays he is getting quite precious and proud about our little bit of land behind our new-build family home – where we spend a lot of time in the spring & summer months relaxing, chilling, eating, playing and socialising.

The outside garden furniture & accessories on the high street currently are all absolutely stunning – and I love how colourful and fun it all is. The textures and tones are fantastic.

Furniture-wise there is a lot of metal on trend.

Mix & matching colours and materials is a great look for any outside area.

Here are some of my favourites & my top picks from around the high street right now. Making any outside space a true sanctuary to enjoy!

Here’s to al fresco dining and paddling pool days.

Bliss.

Love, Jess x

Can’t wait! We have spent a bit of time in the garden this week too – planting up pots and getting things tidied up! So hope we get some good weather so we can make the most of it this summer! xx #HomeEtc

I am SO excited about our garden, this year. We’ve just commissioned a landscape gardener to level and sort out the garden – must write about it, actually. And I’ve received the most amazing pizza oven. Full of excitement for summer, here.

I glad I’m not the only lawn widow. I wish my husband pushed the vacuum around as often as the lawn mower! #HomeEtc

Love the M&S basket table in that colour… and it can be moved inside for the rest of the year, too! #HomeEtc

Ooh I love that table, it would look beautiful in our garden or the summer house. xx #HomeEtc

Love those metal chairs. Our garden is a complete write off at the minute we have so much to do out there before the summer and have no idea where we will find the time. #homeetc xx

Starting a garden from scratch in a new build is stressful but so rewarding; I can see why your hubby is hooked! #HomeEtc x

Here’s to evenings spent sitting in the garden enjoying the last bit of sunshine before bed. Thanks for linking up to #Bloggershomes 🙂

My husband is surgically attached to the lawnmower atm, not that I’m complaining. I love a great garden area especially with lots of seating and dining areas. #homeetc

I’ve become such a garden potterer these past few years! I’ve never been into it before, but since I grew some of our own last year I’m hooked! I potted some tomato seeds with Taylor this week, but I’m hoping that when it comes to planting them in the garden we will be in our new house! I love that bench from M&S – metal is a really nice change from the usual wood and rattan xx #HomeEtc

We desperately need to do some work in the garden. But at least we’ve managed to take our patio furniture out of the garage and even BBQ a couple of times lately. I like your garden furniture choices.
