City of Chester photography

_MG_5570

I am excited to be linking up (for the first time!) with the fabulous ladies Aby and Em that blog over at You Baby Me Mummy and Snowing Indoors, for this photography linky – Point + Shoot.

I wanted to share something different on this post, rather than a usual picture of my family or me (for a change!).

Hubby took some really amazing pictures a few days ago of our local City of Chester, and they were fab. So much so I wanted to share them here.

We have recently purchased a new camera (DSLR) for Christmas. I am finding it really complicated to use (!), but we’re already getting some amazing shots! I feel as though the photography on my blog has improved drastically as a result too. And it is so nice to be getting some gorgeous photographs of the twins.

I don’t get to visit Chester much these days as the twins don’t like shopping (shame!) and won’t sit still for long in restaurants, however the place is beautiful and has some stunning architecture.

Hubby is getting really good at taking pictures and we’re excited to be learning a new hobby together 🙂

David Bailey eat your heart out.
Great shots lovely, I have been enjoying your imagery, always have! We have a great camera, but I never use it. Matt is our in house camera man. I just use the iPhone. I meant to link up to this too, need to get my camera mojo going again. I was a big fan of taking pictures in the past with a good trusty camera and purchased software which as unfortunately just sat on a shelf collecting dust. You might have just given me the nudge I needed. xxx

Thanks. We are still learning but we are enjoying it! It’s very technical! However the blogging has given me a push to take better photos! Thanks for the comment, Jess x

I used to live in Little Sutton and so Chester was our main shopping go-to. I love it there! These are lovely photos- I especially love the one of the sign overlooking the street. x

So sweet that it’s a new hobby together too! I have a DSLR and it’s on its last legs, so I am in the market for a new one and no idea what to get. It really makes a difference with my photos though, even tho I can’t properly use it! Ha. X

I’ve always liked Chester. Bit I’ve found that the shopping experience to have gone down hill recently. I prefer Wrexham these days.

But Chester does have better architecture. Photos are fantastic by the way!
