My 5 things on a Friday

Hi, how are you on this Friday? Good I hope. It’s another weekend ahead!

It’s been half-term here all week, and to be honest it’s gone really quickly. And, I’ve really enjoyed it. The twins have been so good, and busy with play-dates, holiday club, plus we’ve done some bits together such as the park, a walk, swimming and soft play.

We’re off to Leeds this weekend to visit our new nephew! Dave’s sister had her third baby three weeks ago so we’re going to see them all this weekend. Lottie and Harry cannot wait to meet their brand new cousin.

Seeing as it is Friday (YAY) the 5 things that I wanted to share today are:

1/ My bestie blog friend (Rachel, The Ordinary Lovely) sent me this article this week from Harper’s Bazaar regarding an interview with Lucy Williams, aka Fashion Me Now. She talks about Instagram and how to get the right work/life balance (and keep your sanity) when you’re an online influencer. It’s brilliant; a refreshing read.

2/ I’ve just finished the incredible book, ‘Eleanor Oilphant Is Completely Fine’, by Gail Honeyman and it was superb. A really easy read, but very addictive; I could not put it down. I read it in 3 days! It’s moving and thought provoking — I keep catching myself thinking about it. HIGHLY recommend it if you need a summer read.

3/ I’m back on My Fitness Pal app, where I am daily recording my food, drink and exercise. I am pretty good all week (no junk food or booze) and then I like to eat and drink naughty things on weekends. I also went for a run this week too and OH MY LIFE it hurt so much, however I am trying to pluck up the courage to go again and get back into that a few times a week. Wish me luck.

4/ Love Island. 3 more sleeps. That is all. This is not a drill.

5/ And finally here are the clothes and accessories that I’ve got in my online shopping basket to hopefully check-out on a few new things this weekend too.

Happy weekend guys, and I’ll see you again next week.

Love, Jess x

I keep meaning to read the Eleanor Oliphant book as I’ve heard so many people mention it- though I don’t actually think I’ve read a book in 8 years, since my honeymoon!! how bad is that??? Loving your 5 things on a friday posts x
