I literally cannot believe that it’s now officially September and that the twins have started primary school! We’ve had almost 6 whole weeks of being at home together during the summer and enjoying time to take things a little slower; with a long break from the normal morning preschool routine. It’s been really nice.
Now that they are starting reception at primary school our family life will begin to revolve around our weekends. We like to do things together as a family such as the park, Guffalo trail in the woods, cinema, eating out, bowling, soft play, farm parks, town etc. We love the outdoors and spending time together and our favourite days are a mixture of being busy, as well as relaxing at home too.
Tesco Clubcard helps us, as a family, to take out some of the stress of finding things to do at weekends; such as rewards off eating out and days out. We collect points every time we shop at Tesco and scan our Clubcard, or with their point’s partners (such as for petrol). With the Clubcard app I can see how many points we’ve earned, find my nearest store, scan my Clubcard and view special offers.
Over the summer I have accessed and found offers through their easy-to-use app as there’s a lot of choice on there. We’ve used it for days out (such as English Heritage and West Midland Safari Park entrance) and money off family meals (such as Pizza Express and Café Rouge).
You can also use vouchers towards holidays and travel, as well as homeware and electrical items. We order the voucher via the app, print off the email for entrance, or simply show our phone to the restaurant before we pay.
I also order my weekly food shopping online from Tesco groceries once a week. I have been ordering my food from them now for the last few years because it is so convenient (I normally place my order via the app the night before and book a 1-hour slot). Not only this but it also takes the stress out of having to go around the supermarket with the twins at the weekend – which I do not enjoy! I have used some of my rewards from my Tesco Clubcard to pay for some food shopping bills too, which has really helped me out, as the food bill has been more expensive during the summer.
I am glad we’ve enjoyed a good 6 weeks off together for the summer holidays but it’s definitely time to get back into a proper working routine for me, as well as getting back to my passion that is blogging again. The twins seem to be throughly enjoying their new school which is brilliant and I am glad that they have settled in well. It’s such a new chapter and all change for us a family.
