At the end of July 2016 we spent a wonderful sunny day in Hertfordshire because my lovely little Sister got married! My Sister’s best friend & I were bridesmaids, and Lottie & my Niece were flower girls.
The wedding day itself was relaxed, laid back and informal and yet it was extremely beautiful and stylish too. They made their guests feel very welcome in a rural village-hall setting filled with floral bunting hanging from the wooden beams and jam-jars full of aromatic lavender. My Sister and her Hubby worked so hard on creating a truly memorable day.
The wedding flowers and bouquets were absolutely stunning – and I wanted to share them in this post. My Sister wanted a wild, country-garden look and the florist certainly created it from her vision. The flowers were beautiful and all handmade.
I took these photographs on the wedding morning of the flowers being delivered to her house.
All of the wedding flowers were absolutely stunning and they smelt divine. The flower girls had a smaller version of our bouquets and they were so sweet! We all loved carrying them down the aisle of the village hall.
I actually really adore this style of flowers – it looks effortless and rustic and yet it is very stylish too. Perfect for my Sister’s special day.
Everything about her wedding was lovely; the service, the food, the drinking, the company, the dancing. What a fantastic way to start married life!
Love, Jess x
