It’s funny how a bunch of flowers can totally change your mood. Peonies (which are, incidentally, my favourite ever flower and colour) have really brightened me and my home up lately. I have been buying myself a bunch each week – and every bloom looks stunning sitting around our family home.
It has actually got me loving this baby-pink colour again. It is such a pretty pastel colour and feels elegant, feminine, happy. Having the colour displayed in our house lately has indeed encouraged me to add more pink into our living room for the summer months.
The fabulous folk at Wayfair have kindly sent me these new gorgeous cushions (below) in order to brighten up our living room and give it a stylish feel for this season. I love them – such great quality and lovely designs.
Our main living room tends to stay relatively tidy during the day because the twins have a separate playroom and bedrooms each, so all of their toys are stored in there. I *try* to keep this our grown-up space and where Dave and I can chill out together at night. Or where I can grab a cup of tea and some working time during the day.
Pink has been a strong trend for the last year or so within interiors – and remains a strong colour for this season too. It works really well with grey, gold and white. You also don’t have to go too ‘girly’ with it either – I’d say just add subtle hints & accents of it by using a few accessories.
As I have shown here, you don’t have to spend too much money, or go to too much effort to change the look and feel of a space. Here I have simply added in some flowers & cushions and the colours have really lifted the room.
Do you like pink in your home?
Love, Jess x
