Framed Instagram prints for the home

Instagram photographs as artwork

I’d like to think that my own Instagram photographs are good to look at – visual, interesting and well captured. But a photographer, I am not!

So being able to have the chance to display the artwork of somebody who is talented (and who has taken a striking and beautiful image) for a very reasonable price – is really rather cool.

We have been after some artwork that is affordable for the walls of our new-build for some time now. But I haven’t been sure where to look. I have been getting a little tired of the mass produced canvasses sold on the high street, and instead like interesting prints and photographs in frames.

Post Collective is the first online gallery that exclusively sells works from Instagram artists. It was born out of the struggle to access aesthetic works of photography art that are affordable. Post Collective makes photographs from Instagram artists come to life that are until now only shared on people’s Smartphone screens.

From the artists and collections I went for Balloons in the Field by Maria Lazaridou (as show below).

Not only does it remind me of our new hometown of Worcester (as there are so many corn fields here) but I love the colours and the blue sky. It fits in perfectly with my contemporary decor and gives us a really bright, colourful piece on the wall or shelf.

It is framed with a white wooden frame and set behind glass.

I love it; it feels stylish but also in keeping with our family home. Playful, and yet modern.

Love, Jess x

When I saw the print on your Instagram I assumed it must have been your photo (my head can’t quite get around the issues they must face getting permissions from people for use of their images!). It’s good to know there’s sites like this out there, there’s something about a square print and frame that’s just a little more appealing…
