Did you have a nice weekend? I hope your roof didn’t blow away! Wow, it was windy weather this weekend here in Worcestershire…and it hasn’t really stopped much the whole 48 hours.
Friday night saw Hubby and I sink into the sofa, glass of Prosecco each, as we caught up on Suits via Netflix. We are on season 1 – a series about an American law firm which is witty and smart and has instantly grabbed us. We are hooked.
We also toasted my blog, for I achieved a milestone and goal this week of reaching #92 in the UK parenting blog rankings (TOTS100). When I started my blog 18 months ago reaching the top 100 was something that I never imagined would happen. I am therefore delighted and thrilled. I have taken a photograph on my phone to prove it as I am sure it won’t last long!
Saturday morning and we woke up to the sad news about the attacks in Paris. It was shocking; it hasn’t left my mind all weekend. Terrible news and my heart goes out to everyone affected.
The twins lay in until 715am which is utterly unheard of. They usually get up around 615/630am so this was nice but it was also a mad dash to get ready and get Lottie off to ballet. Harry isn’t attending football anymore, he wasn’t super keen on it and was finding it quite tiring, and so they are going to try rugby after Christmas instead (if he wants to). He does like spending time in his PJ’s watching TV does our lovely Harry, and getting him to do anything is a real effort!
Lottie and I popped to HomeSense after ballet and had a little look at the Christmas decorations. I am getting so excited for Christmas now and cannot wait to start buying new ones!
In the afternoon we watched TV and relaxed as the weather was atrocious. We had a roast dinner and an early night.
On Sunday morning I decided to get up and go for a run, despite the windy weather again. It was lovely – however I am finding my 1.5 mile route a little easy now and so might have to push myself a little further. There is a longer route that I need to try again that will probably be better now. I definitely feel fitter at the moment. It is all paying off.
After we got ready very slowly I took Harry shopping to HomeBase for some home bits and Hubby and Lottie wandered into Worcester to shop for clothes and they had lunch. In the afternoon Hubby made his cottage pie recipe and we all utterly devoured it! This dish is one of our family favourites.
We have got a busy week ahead, plus Blogfest hosted by Mumsnet, is on this Saturday so I am getting VERY excited for that. Cannot wait to see all my blogging friends again and give them a big hug!
Have a great week x
