The school summer holidays are nearly at an end now – just one week to go – and I don’t know about you but I am feeling pretty tired and have completely run out of ideas for fun stuff to do! Over the last five weeks the twins and I have been out to parks, been swimming, done numerous playdates, soft play, crafts at home and movie afternoons…and I feel as though I have exhausted every possible child-friendly option! Phew.
That’s why I am delighted to be teaming up with and working with Vertbaudet on this post on the idea for children to be able to express themselves in their everyday adventures, and how important that is. Allowing my twins to be able to create their own ideas and letting their imaginations run wild.
I asked Harry & Lottie to design their very own superhero alter-ego costume, using whatever they had to hand at home. Here’s their outcome below and the bespoke superhero that they both created.
The twins are really into watching Fireman Sam and Lottie loves one of the main characters Penny so she wanted to be ‘Superhero Penny’, whose superpower is flying and she rescues people by putting out fires.
Harry, wanted to be ‘Dino-Boy’…a boy dressed as a dinosaur who stomps through the forest to rescue anyone in trouble.
Hubby and I went into different rooms and shouted “help” and the twins came and rescued us in different scenarios. It was SO cute and they were really excited.
Do your little ones love to dress up too? If they do then they will just LOVE the new competition #VertbaudetHeroes which is aimed at encouraging parents to help their little ones design their very own superhero alter-ego. You don’t need to be a amazing at crafts (I’m not!), you just need to have a play with what you have in the house. Once you have put something together upload your picture to the Vertbaudet Facebook page before the September 12th for your chance to win a £250 family trip for four to a UK attraction of your choosing!
I can’t wait to see what outfits your little heroes come up with!
Love, Jess x
