One of the toughest times of the week day in our house is around dinner time. The twins come home from primary school around 3.45pm, complain that they’re VERY hungry! and yet also want me to chat & play with them. I struggle to find the balance between making something delicious and different each night for everyone to eat, against being stood in the kitchen…

I literally cannot believe that it’s now officially September and that the twins have started primary school! We’ve had almost 6 whole weeks of being at home together during the summer and enjoying time to take things a little slower; with a long break from the normal morning preschool routine. It’s been really nice.

It’s funny how a bunch of flowers can totally change your mood. Peonies (which are, incidentally, my favourite ever flower and colour) have really brightened me and my home up lately. I’ve stayed all over the UK during my childhood and in adult life and yet this is a place I have never been to. Until now!

Anyone who has lived with me will probably vouch that I’m not the most sprightly person first thing in the morning, to say the least. These days the twins run into our bedroom every single day, as soon as they wake up, (usually around 6.45am) and instantly want to chat, play and get up for breakfast. I really struggle to open my eyes! Once I make…
