I can’t believe I am saying this but I’ve actually never been to Cornwall before. I know! Everyone that I have spoken to absolutely loves this part of the UK; with its pretty towns, seaside charm and beautiful coastline. I’ve stayed all over the UK during my childhood and in adult life and yet this is a place I have never been to. Until now!

Anyone who has lived with me will probably vouch that I’m not the most sprightly person first thing in the morning, to say the least. These days the twins run into our bedroom every single day, as soon as they wake up, (usually around 6.45am) and instantly want to chat, play and get up for breakfast. I really struggle to open my eyes! Once I make…

It’s not an exaggeration to say that our 4-year-old twins are incredibly excited about Christmas this year. Each morning they literally run into our bedroom asking to open their advent calendars and begin counting down the days until Santa visits our home. I didn’t think that they could sustain this level of euphoria for the whole of December…but it has proven to be so!

Like many people each year Dave and I take it in turn to visit/host our own families at Christmas. Usually, at the weekends, we are dashing here, there and everywhere. Hubby plays cricket on a Saturday, the twins have clubs or a party, we like to go swimming on a Sunday, and more often than not somebody might also be visiting us! We therefore usually feel pretty worn out by Sunday evening! But this weekend we had a nice, relaxing one and spent a lot of time…

Monday morning will see our family return back to our pre-summer routine. It will mean that the twins are once again attending at preschool three days a week and I’ll be subsequently working again. The six-week summer holidays have been fantastic this time around. Last summer was much tougher for me; the twins were still quite little (they were about to turn three), plus we had only just moved to…

This year saw us go away on our first family holiday abroad as a family of four, which was one of the highlights of our year. Seeing the twins faces as we took off to fly abroad was magical. So much so, that we have also just recently booked another one too! We cannot wait to go to Greece in early October and enjoy some more R&R.…
